What type of information do we collect? And why?
We receive, collect and store the data provided by the teachers and headmasters via the Nalanda at home chat bot.
The following data elements are collected, stored and used for specific purposes.
Preferred language is used to display various bot options as per user’s comfort
Phone number is used to identify you as a unique user in the system
UDISE code is used to map a teacher and headmaster with a school
Role is captured to identify your role as a teacher or headmaster in a school
‘Grades’ and ‘Subjects taught’ is used to link a teacher or headmaster with the specific grades and subjects he/she teaches.
Name is used to associate the profile and create personalised content catalogue and dashboards.
We collect student names only in the google forms of tests, we are not responsible for the correctness or error in student names
We use the student responses to tests to generate reports on the dashboard for teachers and headmasters
All the above data also helps us:
To provide and operate the Nalanda at home service;
To provide teachers and headmasters with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated data to provide better service
To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How do you collect information?
All headmaster and teacher is collected via the bot. All student data is collected only when they submit responses to tests.
How do you store, use, share and disclose personal information?
Your data safety is of utmost importance to us. Data is stored in a secure cloud provided and fully maintained by Google. All domains are Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certified.
We do not share your data with any external or third party agencies. The only format in which data is shared would be if district education officials request data in the form of reports. Your data will not be shared and used for any commercial purpose.
How do you communicate with teachers and Headmasters?
We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve an issue.
For these purposes we may contact you via, telephone, messages via the bot.
How can users withdraw their consent or exit the bot?
You can stop using the bot.
How will incorrect user data be managed?
The information on Nalanda at home chat bot is collected in good faith. While we will undertake due diligence to ensure that only legitimate teachers and headmasters are onboarded and use the platform, a complete safeguard from any incorrect accounts/ unauthorised access ( ‘Occurrence’) is not possible. If a user account is identified as incorrect, we will take all steps /action required by us in connection with such account. We will also be sharing the user details with education department officials. If a user account is identified as incorrect, then we will reach out to the user for confirmation and update or delete the records from the system.
Nalanda at Home team and R.G. Manudhane Foundation for Excellence do not make any warranties about the completeness and accuracy of the information and will not be liable for any failure to prevent any Occurrence, provided, however, that we will not actively or wilfully permit or promote the same.
We request you to notify us immediately in case you become aware or suspect any such Occurrence and fully co-operate with us for taking all steps /action reasonably required by us in connection therewith.
